The Guaranteed Income Supplement under Canada's Public Pensions are benefits to help low-income seniors in Canada. *If pensioners or their spouses took time out of the workforce to stay home and raise children, then they may be eligible for the child rearing drop out provision when they apply for CPP, or if they are currently in receipt of CPP they should do so immediately to ensure that the program has been applied to their benefit.
